Week 2

It is week number two of the Wega Arts Art Club. This week sadly I personally was not able to join the class because I have come down with a cold. But I managed to get the scoop on what went down this week. Paper mache is still a hit. The kids love it. they continued to work on the Terradactyl along with finishing the pumpkins that they started last week. Also paper mache spiders are starting to appear on the tables. In case you don’t know some of what the club is creating will be used in the project Wega Arts is putting on. In October the Gerald’s haunting story is coming to life. The club is helping build props for the haunted opera house. stay tuned for more information on what is happening in the Wega Arts Art Club.

First Day

Today was the first day of the Art Club. We had a great turn out. A total of about 10 kids showed up and we managed to do a lot. A couple of kids and I managed to tackle a project that consisted splatter painting. We painted boards that are going to be used as a back splash sort of thing for the, "Break a Plate" contest for the Horse and Buggy Days festival here in Weyauwega. Along with that, a couple of kids worked hard on a paper mache terradactyl along with paper mache pumpkins. There was a lot of action going on but everything went great. Can’t wait for next week.
